Operation and Maintenance

Cost to Run

  • Continuous Operation: Keeping the water cold at all times helps control bacterial growth, reduces maintenance, and prolongs the life of the pump.

Important Notes

  • Condensation: Place the chiller in an area that can get wet, as condensation is normal.
  • Flow Issues: If there is no water flow, unplug the chiller immediately and contact support.
  • Setup and Maintenance: Ensure strong water flow to prevent freezing inside the chiller. Damage from slow flow due to improper setup or maintenance is not covered under warranty.

Best Practices

  • Cold Water: Maintains bacteria control, reducing maintenance and water changes.
  • Power Savings: Minimal savings from using a timer; continuous operation is more efficient overall.
  • Pump Longevity: Avoid cycling power to the chiller to reduce wear and tear on the pump.

Note: Ensure the setup is gravity primed to the pump. Place the chiller within 3′ of the drain of your tub, with the bottom of the chiller at the same or lower height compared to the bottom of your tub. Do not elevate the chiller above the tub to avoid pump failure.
